Just a reminder about the AKJ toronto raensbayaee tonite at malton gurughar from 8pm-5am. Live broadcast is available on akj.org ! We will also be adding up smaagam recordings in the kirtan section along with smaagam pictures !!

-------Patshahi 10 RAAG Kirtan Darbar --------

On Saturday, January 5th at Oakville Gurughar (2403 Bronte Road, Oakville) from 6:30-9:30pm.

This will be a day to remember the "True Warrior Poet", the one who gave all and asked for nothing. Not only was Guru Gobind Singh ji a master poet, a master singer, but a composer of true individuality. With the essence of Guru Nanak, firstly proving to be a true student of the Akaal Moorat, Satguru Nanak, sat down at Paonta Sahib and did "keertan", sang the praises of Akaal, composed works of art, poetry and compositions in raags and measures unfamiliar to the world. Great artists from around the Asian Sub-continent came to see him and his glorious raagis and 52 poets. That day we will be reciting the works of the one who put the world in awe. Please bring your family and friends. It will be an event echoing throughout the year.

Weekend Sangat Programs - A sangat dedicated to seva, that carry weekly programs every week (Sunday Morning/Evening) at different Gurdwaras or Residences. Many chardee kala gursikhs attend this sangat including Sant Seva Singh jee from India when he comes down here. Also Bibi Harjeet Kaur jee who has done seva at many smaagams. This section will be updated weekly guru jees kirpa naal.

Youth Keertan Darbars - we are currently in the process of putting up past YKD recordings since ontariosikhyouth.ca is now offline. We will also carry the seva for future YKD recordings until the site is back up or until guru saahib gives us this oppurtunity.

Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, and associating with the Guru,
poo(n)jee naam guramukh vaesaahaa
the Gurmukh gathers in the merchandise of the Naam.
har har kirapaa dhhaar madhhusoodhan mil sathasa(n)g oumaahaa raam 1
O Lord, Har, Har, Destroyer of demons, have mercy upon me; bless me with a sincere yearning to join the Sat Sangat. 1

har gun baanee sravan sunaahaa
Let me hear with my ears the Banis, the Hymns, in praise of the Lord;

kar kirapaa sathiguroo milaahaa
be merciful, and let me meet the True Guru.
